(ECNS) -- A higher vocational school in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Wednesday scheduled a 7-day spring break for all faculty and students from March 30 to April 5, encouraging them to enjoy the spring with families, friends and beloved.
"We encourage students to appreciate green mountains and clear waters and embrace the joys of romantic experiences during the spring break. This is an important initiative that combines life education, discipline education, emotional education, and social practice," said an official of the Sichuan Southwest Vocational College of Civil Aviation.
According to the college, the spring break does not shorten class time; rather, it makes appropriate adjustments to weekends and the Qingming holiday to provide students and faculty with concentrated rest time.
In recent years, spring break policies have attracted considerable social attention in China. This is the third year of the routine spring break at the collage.
"During the spring break each year, students go on outings with their partners, engage in social practice activities or choose to reunite with their families at home. Although everyone spends their spring break differently, each has their own wonderful gains," the official said.
