Emma Roberts opened up about making her $3.6 million Los Angeles home, previously owned by Minnie Driver, feel like a sanctuary from the world during a house tour with Architectural Digest of her stunning property.
While reflecting on moving into her new space following her split from ex Garrett Hedlund after nearly three years together in early 2022, the American Horror Story star, 33, revealed she wanted to create a place that really felt like it was her own.
'What I love about this house is it speaks for itself, it's like a grown up dollhouse. It's very storybook. And when we were moving in, it was just me and my son,' she told the publication.
She continued: 'I want this to be our house that is just our style, and filled with our memories and our love.'

Unlike her childhood, which the mother-of-one said included several different moves, the New York native said it was important to her to put down roots for her little boy, Rhodes, who she welcomed in December 2020.
'I think I lived in 10 houses by the time I was 15 — so for me now, having a son, I wanted a place that felt really ours.' she told AD. 'I have a picture of the day we moved in. I'm holding him and it was the most sunny California day, and we were in front of the blue door of our new house. I just remember feeling like we are exactly where we need to be.'
Roberts worked with designers, Louisa Pierce and Emily Ward, to make her whimsical dream home a reality, complete with a 'doll wall' located near her office.
The Wild Child actress excitedly showed off her beloved collectibles from her childhood as well as dolls and items obtained as an adult, including a drunk cowgirl Barbie, Blythe dolls and 'Leggy Jill' doll.
'I'm madly obsessed with them, in love with them,' Roberts said as she began to pull a few off her shelves.
The performer went on to admit that when she was younger and people would ask if she was ever afraid the dolls would come to life, she joked that she hopes they come wake her up 'every night.'
'It would be so thrilling,' she mused.
During the interview as she showed off her library, she laughed as she picked up the novel, Norwood, by Charles Portis.

As she gave a tour of her home, she showed off her expansive mug collection, her little 'Joni Mitchell shrine' and wallpaper of flying ducks above her son's forest-themed room.
'I remember as a kid, whatever's on your wall and your ceiling is seared into your brain for the rest of your life,' Roberts noted. 'So I wanted to make it extra cozy and fun, but not too overwhelming.'
Overall, her vision for Rhodes was for his room to 'feel like a little enchanted forest' because he 'loves nature and animals.'
Another surprising piece in the former Nickelodeon star's home was her 'time-out chair.'
